Our client, a personal injury law firm, is seeking a Legal Investigator to support asbestos/silicosis, workers’ compensation, and civil litigation cases.

What You’ll Do

• Conduct phone and virtual interviews with potential clients, coworkers, and witnesses.

• Research defendants, jobsites, employment history, and case-related information.

• Review and summarize depositions, employment, military, Social Security, business, and other records.

• Prepare detailed interview and investigative memoranda.

• Locate and evaluate potential witnesses.

• Prepare draft declarations and correspondence for attorney review.

• Maintain case information in databases and coordinate updates with paralegals.

• Track investigative activities and assist attorneys and staff with case-related projects.

Requirements

• Must reside in California.

• Bilingual in Spanish required

• 3–5 years of experience in investigations, research, interviewing, or a related field; construction experience is a plus.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• Excellent writing, communication, research, and interviewing skills.

• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new databases/software quickly.

• Ability to type 35+ WPM.

• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Comfortable conducting cold calls and discussing complex or sensitive topics with clients and witnesses.
